Job Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of our valued client, a prominent player in the cement manufacturing industry, who is actively seeking a skilled DCS Technician. If you hold a Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and have 7-10 years of hands-on experience in DCS Control Systems and Process Field Instrumentation, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. This position is based in Dubai and is open to ITI or diploma holders with the relevant experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge and expertise in DCS Control Systems and Process Field Instrumentation to undertake preventive maintenance and repairs to the DCS System.
- Blueprint Analysis: Examine blueprints, drawings, or specifications to determine work methods and sequence of activities. Programming knowledge is essential for this role.
- Maintenance and Calibration: Troubleshoot, clean, calibrate, and maintain the Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEM) system, Distributed Control System (DCS), instrumentation, and electronics throughout the plant in a safe and professional manner.
- Fault Diagnosis: Efficiently diagnose faults or breakdowns in instrumentation and control systems.
- Inspection and Repair: Regularly inspect the work area and plant for damage and defects, and execute repairs to faulty instrument and control device operation.
- Maintenance Planning: Assist in the planning and scheduling of maintenance and overhauls for plant instrumentation and control equipment.
- Problem Resolution: Collaborate in the resolution of practical technical problems, including design modifications, equipment installation, performance testing, and operation of monitoring and control devices, circuits, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in DCS Control Systems and Process Field Instrumentation.
- Proficiency in programming.
- Previous experience in the cement manufacturing industry is a must.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work safely and professionally in a plant environment.
