Company: Shipbuilding and repair company based in Dubai, UAE. Company offers services such as ship repair, conversion, new building, offshore construction, and engineering. It has a large workforce and are known for their expertise in the maritime industry.
JOB OBJECTIVES (SUMMARY OF OVERALL JOB PURPOSE)
Identify, plan and execute work preparation in Ship Repair as well as conversion projects within budgeted time and resources. Ensure instructions regarding work requirements are relayed to the work force in line with work scope definition as outlined in Work Specification, Tender, Work Instructions, Procedures and Manuals. Liaise and coordinate with Foremen of different projects as required with a view to jointly sharing responsibilities and as advised by Superiors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Policies, Processes & Procedures:
- Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
Day- to-day operations:
- Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
- Job identification, drawings preparation and updating in dept. database for records
- Material requisition and follow up.
- Man hour estimate as per agreed tariff and submit for project supervision review.
- Final Job descriptions to Invoicer for man hours update.
- Documentation of sailed projects as per documentation procedure in department.

- Responsible to comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls and to behave in a manner, which ensures that their actions or omissions, do not adversely affect the environment, health, safety and wellbeing of themselves, colleagues, contractors or members of the public
- Meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the DDW OHSMS
- Participating in any training and safety initiatives implemented by the Company
- Complying with all Safety directives, and work instructions
- Immediately reporting any incident or potential hazard to their supervisor or Safety Dept
- STOP the task if you feel yourself or others may be harmed

- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Language skills:
- Working knowledge of English language.
- Knowledge of other languages will be an added advantage.
Technical competencies:
- Good Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Good Working knowledge of MS Office

- Salary – 3650 AED
