Job Summary:
We are recruiting for a paper mill industry, seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical equipment in a paper mill environment. Candidates should have a strong background in paper mill maintenance, with expertise in handling and overhauling various equipment, including paper machine parts, pumps, gearboxes, and cranes. The role requires the ability to identify and solve technical issues, work in confined spaces and at heights, interpret mechanical drawings, and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical equipment in a paper mill
  environment.
• Handle and overhaul various equipment, including paper machine parts, pumps, gearboxes,
  and cranes.
• Identify and understand paper machine areas and parts in detail.
• Operate overhead cranes with a proper understanding of lifting equipment.
• Install and repair plant machinery and parts, such as paper machine rolls and bearings.
• Solve simple technical issues within equipment.
• Work in confined spaces and at heights as required.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all mechanical equipment.
• Perform gear box maintenance and assembly.
• Assemble and maintain pumps, including bearing changes, seal changes, and impeller
  changes.
• Understand pump and gearbox motor level alignment.
• Attend shutdown jobs and perform required maintenance tasks.
• Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties as required.
• Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through telephone, email, or
  in person.
• Prepare daily work reports and conduct toolbox talks.
• Ensure that any repairs are addressed promptly.
• Assist in the training and development of less experienced technicians.
• Provide shift relief and cover when required.
• Complete accurate handovers to the next shift.

Requirements:

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering education background.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in paper mill maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in handling and overhauling paper machine parts,
  pumps, gearboxes, and cranes.
• Ability to identify and solve technical issues within equipment.
• Proficient in working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with gear box maintenance, assembly, and pump maintenance.
• Understanding of pump and gearbox motor level alignment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prepare daily work reports and conduct toolbox talks.
• Proactive and self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary of AED 2400 Basic + Other allowances AED 1600.
