Manager / Sr. Manager Business Development

Job Role: Business Development / Sr. Manager
Salary: 7 - 24 LPA
Job Type: Full Time

Purpose of the Job:

  • To meet long & short-term objectives for the TMT Projects & Solutions division by understanding the existing and future needs of the customers.
  • Provide support in Business Development and Customer adoption of Construction Solutions (Cut and Bend, Mesh, etc).
  • Work in a team of domain experts and construction professionals for the implementation of key enablers and support in the achievement of solutions-based outcomes and milestones.


  • Ensure that the Enablers and Solutions targets are achieved as per ABP/OSP.
  • Create and Support in developing and sustaining funnel of Order Book and Order execution.
  • Participate in the Preparation of OSP every month and update the order book on time.
  • Participate in regular review for Sales with SMs and Channel Partners.
  • Customer/segment level market development and business acquisition.
  • Facilitate and implement ideas for process improvements and cost-optimization across the value chain.
  • Drive digital initiatives like COMPASS & DigECA.

Influencer and Customer Engagement:

  • Regular site visits for Readybuild, WWF, and coupler conversion.
  • Regular visits and presentations to consultants, government bodies like NBCC, CPWD, PWD, railways, WCI, government public sectors like BHEL, MIAL ETC.
  • Ensure end-to-end delivery of Readybuild, Smartfab, Coupler, etc. from Pre-Sale, order execution/fulfillment to post Sales.
  • Interface with Solution Partner operation & design team to handle the complaint and resolve it within the timeline specified as per policy.
  • Regular interaction with customer design teams for incorporating CRS, Fe600[HD], and fe550d in their projects.
  • Regular interaction with Readybuild plant for effectively servicing customer requirements.

Long Term Planning:

Developing and following through on the blueprint to propel the company to its vision of becoming a “Preferred Construction solution partner in long steel for the Construction industry.”

Operation Management:

Contracting with various SPCs and Solution partners for supplies of Readybuild, Smartfab, couplers, etc., and ensuring right commercial, quality, and various statutory and non-statutory compliances.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure Quality Assurance as per QAP.
  • Conduct Frequent Quality Audits of various SPCs and Readybuild Centres.
  • Implement Quality Standards (Ex ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc).

Risk Management & Prioritization:

  • Must Ensure risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, risk treatment, and risk monitoring.
  • Guide site team/Vendors/Production partners and ensure Priorities of jobs sites are met based on requirements.

People Development:

Developing the distributor’s organization structure for the Solution partners in terms of capability and capacity to do value selling.

Digital Initiatives:

  • Embrace and enable digitalization, while designing various offerings and solutions to drive efficiency, scalability, and uniqueness.
  • This may require deep engagement with various civil engineering software developers like SCADA, staadpro, AutoCAD, and CUBE.

Desired Qualifications and Abilities:

  • A degree in Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering (B.Tech /M.Tech) and MBA is preferable.
  • Minimum 3 years to 10 years of relevant work experience in Business Development, Sales, Construction, and Project management.
  • Preferable skills/Expertise – Construction, Commercial acumen, Project Management, Knowledge of sales processes, Analytical skills, and Software Skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, BBS software).
  • Leadership skills, Planning and Organizing skills, Excellent communication, Interpersonal effectiveness, Strong networking skills, customer orientation.
